Social Worker

Nurturing what is best for most young people with huge problems to have the capacity to solve their own problems and the ability to think globally and start locally is my priority in life. This sparked my interest to be trained as a professional social worker at the university level.

My job at CPC

My primary responsibility at the child protection centre is building meaningful and sustainable relationships with all the children. And to model in non-abusive safe and secure relationships that instills confidence in the children.

I ensure that all the psychosocial supports of the children as well as their legal accompaniment are provided for accordingly.

Another key responsibility is providing counseling to the children using both individual and group sessions.

Additionally, am involved in family tracing, reintegration and after care of the children. I am also a member of management at the centre.

My passion

I take great inspiration from ISAIAH 58:10-12 “if you give food to the hungry and satisfy those who are in need, then the darkness around you will turn to the brightness of noon. And I will always guide you and satisfy you with good things. I will keep you strong and well. You will be like a garden that has plenty of water, like a spring of water that never goes dry. Your people will rebuild what has been in ruins, building again on the old foundations. You will be known as the people who rebuilt the walls, who restored the ruined houses.”

This is my greatest desire to work with children for life.

My work is my worship.
