What is the Don Bosco Child Protection Centre?
The Don Bosco Child Protection Centre was established in 2014 by the Salesians of Don Bosco with the mission of working through the Principles lived by Don Bosco in order to ensure security, good health, education and skills development of children at risk, by focusing on their integral transformation, creating a home for the victims of poverty.
Which is our main objective?
To enhance the living condition of vulnerable children and children at risk to a dignifying way of being human, that will lead to an integrated self-esteem and self-appreciation towards a holistic human growth and development. To support the Government of Ghana (GOG) and other national stakeholders’ effort to prevent and combat child’s exploitation in all its various forms in Ghana.
Where does the Don Bosco CPC gets its funding?
Our centre is supported entirely by the voluntary contributions of the salesian comunity all over the world, governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), foundations, corporations and private individuals.
What part of the funding is spent helping the children?
The 92% of the funding goes directly to help the children. The other 8% we spent it on administration.
